One of the most influential heavy metal acts of all time, Sepultura came to Manchester for the final time on Friday as part of their worldwide farewell tour. With a career spanning 40 years and a musical style that has continued to evolve and dip into every facet of the genre, Sepultura are a powerhouse of the industry who's presence will be sorely missed - though there's fortunately still a year left of this unbelievable effort of a tour and a new four song EP on the horizon to keep fans satisfied for a while longer. Before that though, those in the audience for their Manchester performance were in for an incredible evening as the band performed a selection of their greatest hits to a sold out crowd, with emotions running high as people enjoyed one of their favourite acts for the final time.

A show this important needed the support acts to match, and that it definitely had. With three openers in the form of Jesus Piece, Jinjer, and Obituary, Sepultura's final UK tour was a celebration of the band's music and their career, and it was an honour to have Gigraphy team member Nic at the event to get some photo coverage.
