French metalcore LANDMVRKS are one of the hottest bands in the scene right now, and their Sunday show in Manchester only proved this point. The first UK date on their 'Creature' tour, sharing the name with their latest single, they really kicked off this leg with a bang.
The whole lineup was a stellar one, with not one, not two, but three incredible supporting acts that made the night one to remember. Leading the night was Manchester based hardcore group Guilt Trip, a favourite of the circuit who have been getting some amazing billing lately. Their incredible energy and crowdwork got the audience more riled up than you could ever expect for 7PM on a Sunday night, and laid the groundwork for the rest of the night, along with the next band to follow; Like Moths to Flames.
Speaking of, Like Moths to Flames carried on the energy into the second support of the night, taking every chance to make the most of their time in the UK after some time away. Hard hitting beats, even harder vocals, and even a crowd singalong were all on the cards here, with only one act left before the main event.
The last supports of the night came in the form of some icons in the world of metalcore, The Devil Wears Prada. Support might not even be the right word here, as you could've been easily mistaken if you thought this was their headline show. The crowd didn't stop moving, the surfers were out, and the band brought their all. The energy couldn't be matched here from performers and audience alike, and there was still one more act to come...
Finally LANDMVRKS took the stage, and boy did they take it. The sheer musical talent on display was stunning, blending different genres and styles masterfully while the crowd lapped it up. By the third song the crowdsurfers were pouring over the barrier, with wave after wave of fans crashing through. You couldn't have asked for a better performance, but in case you missed it, here's Josh's shots of the night!
