Independent rock festival 2000trees kicks off next week, with one of the most stellar lineups you'll find this year. Not only are we extremely grateful to have the opportunity to cover the 2024 instalment, but we've also been fortunate enough to capture many of the acts performing already over the last few months. Here's a few of our favourites along with when you'll be able to catch them performing!
Boston Manor

Wednesday - Forest, 22:00 - 23:00
Thursday - The Axiom, 18:25 - 19:15
We caught Boston Manor at Birkenhead's Future Yard on their latest intimate tour, embracing their roots of barrierless, low capacity venues (that sold out almost immediately). Festivalgoers this year are treated to not just one but two of what are sure to me amazing sets, possibly hearing some of the band's lesser played older tracks along with the chance to hear some early tracks from the upcoming album 'Sundiver'.
CLT DRP

Friday - NEU, 19:20 - 20:05
Fusing elements of punk, electronic, and punk for their own unique sound, CLT DRP are continuing to make waves with their latest festival appearance on the horizon. We last caught them at Manchester's Beyond The Music festival towards the end of last year just after the release of their latest album 'Nothing Clever, Just Feelings', but we can't wait to catch them again and hear their newest track 'Until You Showed Me' live!
Hot Mulligan

Thursday - The Axiom, 20:30-21:30
One of the first bands covered by Gigraphy, we last saw Hot Mulligan last year touring to promote their album 'Why Would I Watch' where they put on a spectacular performance at Manchester's New Century Hall (supported by fellow 2000trees act Spanish Love Songs). We've had two singles releases from the Midwest emo favourites since then in the form of 'Stickers of Brian' and 'End Eric Sparrow and the Life of Him', which fans who didn't get a chance to see live at Outbreak festival are sure to be able to catch for the first time next week.
Dune Rats

Saturday - Main Stage, 14:00 - 14:30
Australian rockers Dune Rats supported FIDLAR when we caught them in Manchester in November last year, and put on a show worthy of being the headliners themselves. Like Hot Mulligan, Dune Rats have released two singles since we saw them last in the form of 'Solar Eyes' and 'Cheapskate' which UK audiences will be able to hear for the first time at the festival. If we're lucky enough we might even catch a couple of unreleased tracks from their upcoming album 'If It Sucks, Turn It Up', set to release at the start of August.
Mouth Culture

Friday - The Axiom, 11:30 - 12:00
We've actually caught Mouth Culture a couple of times, first supporting While She Sleeps at their Christmas extravaganza in December and then again supporting The Blackout earlier this year. Each time we've seen them, Mouth Culture have proved why they're on the billing and are one of the hottest up-and-coming bands on the scene. Their debut album 'Mishaps Of My Mid Twenties' released to rave reviews last year, and there's no sign of their traction slowing down any time soon. Definitely ones to watch.
Lauran Hibberd

Friday - Forest, 17:40 - 18:15
We last saw Lauran Hibberd at our first show of the year supporting Hobo Johnson, warming up the crowd with her own spin on a pop sound. She is unmistakably herself and honest on stage, openly discussing issues and her own experiences with the same heartfelt sincerity that she puts into her music. In March she released her second album 'Girlfriend Material', receiving plenty of praise for her passionate vocals that put her heart on the line, so we can only imagine the kind of performance we'll be in store for when we see her live again!
Bob Vylan

Friday - Main Stage, 20:10 - 21:00
One of the most outspoken and political bands in the scene, duo Bob Vylan bring their mix of grime, rock, and punk to the main stage of 2000tress for what is sure to be an intense performance. The pair are hot off the heels of their latest album release in April, 'Humble as the Sun', as well as a truly unforgettable show at Slam Dunk South at the end of May. Neither Bobby or Bobbie shy away from talking or singing about important and sensitive topics, from politics to mental health, and considering we'll likely have a new Prime Minister by the time of their set, we're sure to have an interesting show.
SNAYX

Thursday - Main Stage, 13:00 - 13:30
An act we've had the pleasure of catching more recently, we captured SNAYX in action supporting Billy Talent towards the end of last month - and what a show it was. Full of infectious energy that quickly spread through the crowd, the punk trio were a sight to behold, performing tracks full of catchy riffs, thumping drums, and even the odd electronic beat. Some of the tracks on offer were from their latest 4 song EP 'Better Days', which the band definitely has ahead of them if their current run is anything to go by.
Cassyette

Thursday - Main Stage, 16:10 - 16:45
We last saw Cassyette at the start of April on her 'This World Fucking Sucks' tour, who absolutely blew us away on her largest headline tour to date. One of those who want some goth-pop vibes with some spectacular stage presence and iconic vocals, Cassyette has an amazing fan base who are sure to help make her latest festival appearance one to remember. This will also be her first outing since releasing her latest EP 'Four Leaf Clover', so if you want to be a part of the crowd that hears some of the featured tracks live for the first time then get yourself to Main Stage!
